Large airports consist of several terminals, hundreds of gates and miles of trails. Passengers often spend valuable time searching for the right route while information desks are overloaded. At the same time, cleaning and maintenance teams must work efficiently in this complex environment — often delayed by inaccurate location descriptions in case of fault messages. International travelers and multicultural staff also need information in various languages. These everyday challenges lead to inefficiencies that add up over the day.
The platform connects all areas of the airport — from parking garages to check-in areas to remote gates. The system runs through indoor and outdoor areas and also takes into account shuttle connections between terminals. In addition to passengers, service teams also use navigation: cleaning staff find their way directly to the scene, technicians receive optimised routes for maintenance rounds.
The Task Manager automatically links every fault message to the exact location. Employees see what needs to be done on their device and are navigated directly to it. Tasks can be sorted by priority and documented with photos after completion — an important function for quality controls and compliance requirements in flight operations.
The platform supports multiple languages and automatically adapts to user settings. Passengers receive directions in their chosen language, and service teams can call up work instructions in their language. Location-based information is provided digitally via QR link hubs at gates and service points — central maintenance replaces complex multilingual signs.
Changes such as temporary closures, construction sites or new access routes can be entered directly into the digital building plans via the Map Console. The system automatically calculates alternative routes around restricted areas. Structural changes such as new gates, moved check-in counters or temporary security lanes can also be quickly incorporated. All adjustments are immediately effective in navigation without the need to create new signs.
